All Grown up

Well, my little girl is finally getting rid of her paci. I just started not giving it to her one day when she asked and gave her a piece (a small sugar-free piece) of gum. That is all it took. Pretty soon when she would ask for her paci she would change her mind and ask for gum instead. Now she has stopped asking for gum too! For the last week and a half she has only had her paci at nap time and bedtime...but now she is falling asleep with out her paci as well! It was much easier than any other time we have ever tried to make her quit. Although I am excited and happy to be done with that thing- it was the last thing that reminded me of her baby days. So I guess I will get 4 1/2 months break before I will look forward to introducing our little boy to his paci and starting this whole cycle over again! Now for the potty training...

Benefits of being small

While I was cooking lunch I heard laughter coming from a cabinet on the other side of the kitchen. I guess to a little girl it looked like a fun hiding place!

"Wanna Take A Picture?"

After getting Macy ready for the day in her new shoes and new jeans and admiring ourselves (remind you I am still in my PJ's with morning/coffee breath and wet hair) in the mirror Macy asks ever so sweetly - "Wanna take a picture?" How could I resist???

She has just grown up so much this last week- really she has grown out of most of her clothes and shoes and her entire attitude and vocabulary and coordination has changed! I must have a 2 year old?!

It's a BOY!!!

Well, we are having a little boy!!! I never thought I would be able to say that- we just knew for sure we were only going to have girls. However, I have had this feeling that maybe this one could be a boy....this entire pregnancy has been so different than with Macy.

Sunday with Macy

Today at church Macy made a sheep puppet...I am guessing by the looks of it she didn't have much to do with making it but she loves to put it on her hand and say "Hello, Macy!" It cracks me up every time! Honestly I think the only reason she likes to go to church is for the play time with kids and the doughnuts....that girl can down a whole doughnut is less than 2 minutes. Shocking since she hardly eats much at all! After her nap today we colored Valentine's Day pictures she got from Old Navy this afternoon. It kept her busy and entertained for almost 15 minutes...which is an eternity to this mom!!!

Top 3 reasons why I am ready to move...

Macy and I got in late last night from visiting Mark in Muncie. To be honest I really was missing my husband but really didn't want to go through the hassles of moving and facing the bitter cold winter (it really isn't that bad but compared to Dallas weather I have to complain a bit). But after being in my new home and seeing my hubby and new town we are going to raise our family in....I feel so home sick now and the thought of packing doesn't overwhelm me as much. I just want to get this house sold sooner than later and get moved up there. I believe Macy and I will be moving in a month from now so at least I have an end in sight. Now I just pray that the house sells soon and we get all of our stuff moved with out much hassle. We are listing with a realtor tomorrow- we tried the sell by owner route and gave it the 4 weeks that we originally set...but now just can't waste any more time and energy.
